1. First, Let’s Meet. Of course, we need to have a live conversation or meeting to discuss your specific situation, needs, and priorities. We'll determine how well I align and if having a Fractional CMO is right for you at this time.
2. We Commit to Engage. As a Fractional CMO/VP of Marketing, I need a minimum of 10 hours per week for at least 8 weeks to do a sufficient job for your company.
3. I Get to Work. In the first few weeks, I will spend time with various groups to get as much of a “brain dump” as possible, including: Sales, Product, select customers and partners, and relevant company leaders and founders. If there are marketing staff or marketing contractors/agency, I need to get to know them as well. During that first month, I will conduct my own competitive landscape review and observe as many sales calls/demos as possible. All of this helps determine the higher-priority marketing needs. By the second month, I will have gained enough knowledge and insight to start laying out a marketing plan of attack, everything from low-hanging opportunities to longer-term initiatives, based on a matrix of prioritization and resources. That plan will be socialized to key executives and stakeholders, adjusting it as needed to create a 6-month (or 12-month) roadmap for marketing.
4. We Determine Next Steps. 15 days prior to the end of the first 8-week contract, we'll determine whether to extend the contract on a monthly basis or wrap things up.
I operate on an initial 8-week contract term which has fixed pricing of either $16,000 (80 hours @ 10 hours/week ) or $30,000 (160 hours @ 20 hours/week). I also offer a “day rate” if non-local travel or additional time is requested, pending availability. Out-of-pocket expenses are not included.
I prefer to spend a good bit of my time on site at your company, if possible. I can bring my own device, unless your company prefers or requires that I use tech issued by your IT.
All content and deliverables developed by me for you are owned by you. I engage with no more than two clients at a time, so that I can stay more focused and thoughtful about the work I do for you.
Just as a company would evaluate me, I will be looking closely at them
to see if it’s a fit for me:
